It is with great pleasure that I introduce the superlative 2019 vintage. Warm summer days and lower yields in the vineyard created wines of richness, concentration, and purity of fruit expression. While 2018 displayed the characteristics of a classic California vintage, emphasizing structure  and elegance, the 2019s are generous, with a hedonistic opulence, silky tannin, expressive aromatics, and a profound finesse.  
 
The 2019 vintage unfolded without extremes, beginning with generous winter rains which led to a cool spring and an abundant fruit set. In order to ensure harmony within each individual vine, yields were deliberately and carefully managed throughout the summer. The weather was warm and dry throughout the growing season, with a consistency of daytime temperature that was ideal for slow and even ripening. September and October were mild, with an absence of extreme heat or rain, and harvest proceeded at a deliberate pace, allowing each micro-cru to be picked at ideal maturity. The 2019 harvest began on September 12th and ended on October 4th, almost the same dates as in 2018.  
 
The three 2019 Vérité wines display purity and focus, reflecting their Sonoma terroir, vintage characteristics, and individual signatures. These expressive and seamless wines will reward patience in your cellar for years to come.
